West Indian batsman Chris Gayle struck an unbeaten 84 off 22 balls to as he decimated the Maratha Arabians’ bowling attack in the Abu Dhabi T10 tournament. Chasing Maratha Arabians’ moderate total of 97 for 4, Gayle helped his team reach the target in 5.3 overs. Gayle hit his half-century in 12 balls and equaled the fastest fifty in T10 history held by Mohammad Shahzad for Rajputs in the 2018 edition. 

Sompal Kami conceded the most runs in his one over from which Gayle scored 27 runs. Notably, 78 runs out of his 84 came through boundaries. The tournament is in its fourth season and the second one in Abu Dhabi. A brainchild of businessman Nawab Shaji Ul Mulk, the tournament is growing from strength to strength with every passing year. It is the world's only 10-over cricket tournament to be sanctioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and is licensed by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB).
