Australia’s Pat Cummins one of the big buys of IPL 2020 was at the receiving end of his first game after he leaked 49 runs  in just 3 overs. He started with a wide after which Rohit Sharma, MI’s captain, smashed him for a humongous six over the deep mid-wicket region. Then in the fifth ball of the same over, Rohit collected another maximum off the seamer, yet again through deep mid-wicket. In his first over on his return for KKR, Cummins conceded as many as 15 runs and looked out of sorts. In his second over, it was Saurabh Tiwary, who laid into Cummins. To start with, the left-hander spanked a boundary and followed it up with a gorgeous six down the ground.

However, Cummins was able to make a bit of comeback, giving only singles and doubles. In the third over, things didn’t get any better for him as Rohit slapped him for two fours and a six.Pat Cummins, with the base price of Rs. 2 crore, was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for Rs. 15.5 crore in the IPL 2020 auction in Kolkata on Thursday. In the process, the Australia fast bowler Pat Cummins beat Ben Stokes' price of Rs. 14.5 crore to become the most expensive international buy in the history of IPL. England all-rounder Ben Stokes was bought for Rs. 14.5 crore in 2017 by Rising Pune Supergiants. Cummins performance was subjected to trolls online as it irked KKR fans.
