An elderly couple apologised to former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan after they accued him having an illicit affair with their daughter-in-law. A few days back, the elderly couple had accused Irfan Pathan of having an illicit affair with their daughter-in law.
The man identified as Saiyad Ibrahim retired police personnel from Juhapura has shared video on social media in which he says that he had committed a mistake where the video was made out of a misunderstanding and went on to apologise to Pathan.
Saiyad had made a video last week along with his wife in which he stated that his daughter in-law was having an illicit relationship with Pathan.
The man in the video says, "My name is Syed Ibrahim Ahmed. I have retired from the post of Head Constable in the Police Department. I am now living in Ahmedabad. On May 5, a video of my affair with daughter-in law and Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan Bhai went viral. The video was made out of a misunderstanding.
Saiyad had accused his daughter-in-law of sleeping with Pathan and pressurising his son to let the relationship continue the way it was. The video came after a domestic violence complaint was filed by the daughter in law against Saiyad in March. In the video, Saiyad and his wife had threatened to die by suicide. Saiyad had also stated that in spite of working in the police department all his life, he could not get justice. Saiyad and his wife were called by the police for investigation.
