In a major development, KKR pacer Prasidh Krishna has tested positive for COVID-19. The news comes less than 24 hours after he was selected for India's tour of England as a standby player. As per a Cricbuzz report, Prasidh tested negative while he was with the franchise in Ahmedabad where a couple of their players - Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier got infected. However, he tested positive  on returning home in Bangalore.

The entire KKR team, had also quarantined for five days after two positive cases in the camp during the IPL. Now, Krishna's participation for the England tour will be made conditional. He will have to return negative tests before he can sit on the flight to England. It will be subject to fitness clearance like Wriddhiman Saha, who too had tested positive while being in the IPL bubble. Earlier,  in the day, Tim Seifert of KKR tested positive for COVID-19. The wicketkeeper batsman is currently quarantining in Ahmedabad.
