Even as a captain, Virat Kohli could not make his last match unforgettable. After leaving the competition, Virat Kohli wrote an emotional message on social media.

In it, he says, "We set out to achieve our goal together. But unfortunately, we were a little behind. There is no one more desperate than us".

"All of you have been very supportive. Also, we are grateful for that. Our goal is to come back stronger. For that, we have to do our best".

India's chances of making it to the semi-finals have dashed when New Zealand defeated Afghanistan in the last match even after that India had beaten Namibia by 9 wickets in the last match of the series. But this match was just a formality.
