RCB managed to strike at regular intervals putting brakes at the scoring rate of the Rajasthan Royals. RR did so well to recover from 43/4 and post a respectable total. RCB got the big breakthrough of Jos Buttler while, the batsman was trying to make room and punch one through the offside. Mohammad Siraj finished with a 3-wicket haul. In the end, two consecutive wickets from Harshal help Challengers restrict Royals to less than 180.

Jamieson bowled economically until the last ball six. Kane Richardson bowled a good third over. Harshal Patel bowled very well in his last two overs nailing yorkers and bowling some good slower balls. Siraj too came back to get the important wicket of Tewatia. It was Dube who started the rebuilding  phase with Parag. The royals  have given themselves a fair shot to win this game. They will be extremely pleased to get in excess of 175 after struggling at 43/4. Bangalore have been excellent in the death in Chennai but not today in Mumbai. 73 from the last 7 overs but they would have taken anything under 180 at the start of the game. For the first time in IPL history, Royal Challengers Bangalore have clinched three wins on the trot at the start of the season. Currently at the seventh spot on the points table, Rajasthan face a stiff task against second placed Bangalore in the second innings. Earlier, Virat Kohli won the toss and invited Rajasthan to bat. Both teams have made a change each.
