At the toss, Smith won the first hurdle as they elected to bat first against Virat Kohli's Royal Challenger's Bangalore. While RR are entering the contest with the same playing XI, Virat Kohli has made two changes to RCB playing XI. Mohammed Siraj and Shivam Dube have been replaced by Shivam Dube and Shahbaz Ahmed.
