It's been one stunning exhibition of batting from the Royals as Steve Smith's team posted a mammoth 216 for the loss of seven wickets. Going by the past encounters between the two teams, the CSK unquestionably hold an edge over the Royals as they have emerged victorious 14 times from 21 games while the Jaipur-based franchise has won the remaining clashes.
During the closing overs, Jofra Archer played an absolute blinder here- 27 runs off just 8 balls, as RR score thirty runs off that final over to finish at a massive 216. At 119-1, with 10 overs remaining, Rajasthan looked good for a score in excess of 220, but CSK came back very well to bring it down to 186-7 at the end of the 19th over. But, the last over just ruined it for the Super Kings. Sanju Samson and Steve Smith deserve a lot of credit for that blazing partnership, that put RR on top in the beginning. Rajasthan go into the half-way stage on top, and CSK have a mountain to climb to surpass this.
