A fine bowling display by Pat Cummins allowed Aussies to dismiss India for 244 after Cheteshwar Pujara's slowest half-century helped Australia take complete command at tea on the third day of the third Test at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) today. Australia took a first-innings lead of 94 runs.  but both their openers were sent packing inside the tenth over. Post that, it was one-way traffic with Labuschagne and Smith batting with ease despite the odd balls misbehaving. The Indian bowlers shined with the bowl in patches as Smith and - Labuschagne had a easy outing in the middle.

Siraj was the pick of the bowlers in the second essay for the visitors who kept one end tight. In the end, it was  Australia's day without a doubt.  Cummins scalped the Indian captain in the first hour. After Vihari's run-out, the scoring rate improved a bit when Pant joined hands with Pujara. But, the visitors lost their way against the second new ball. Both the set batsmen were dismissed in quick succession and the run-outs only made things worse for them. Jadeja played a little cameo and brought the deficit under 100 but '195/4 to 244 all out. A total of 84 runs from 34 overs in the first session, with lack of intent especially from Pujara, didn't help India's cause and Rahane's dismissal was purely due to the scoreboard pressure.
