T Dilip and Paras Mhambrey will travel with the Indian team to Sri Lanka as fielding and bowling coaches with Rahul Dravid as the head coach as per a Cricbuzz report.Dravid and Mhambrey have largely been expected to be appointed to the support staff but Dilip's is a surprise inclusion the report adds. The 39-year-old is a fielding coach of the Hyderabad team having previously been associated with the India A side also. The MSK Prasad-led selection committee, which had interviewed the members of the support staff for the Indian team in 2019, had rated him highly for his coaching skills. He has completed Level III coaching course too.

Shikhar Dhawan has already been named skipper of the tour which involves three ODIs and three Twenty20 Internationals against the islanders from July 13 to 25. As per a report in ESPNCricinfo, the players have been asked to undergo Covid-19 RT-PCR tests before they reach Mumbai hotel and enter BCCI's bio-secure bubble. The players will go 14-day quarantine before landing in Sri Lanka on June 28.Upon their arrival in the Island nation, the Indian team will be required to undergo quarantine for three more days. Post completion of the 3-day isolation, the players will be allowed to train in small groups, as per the guidelines issued by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).The arrangement would see players training in smaller groups from July 02 to July 04. After this period, the entire squad will be allowed to assemble and begin training in a full-fledged manner from July 06 and prepare for the first match of the series which will be played on July 12.The two teams are set to lock horns in 3 ODIs and as many T20Is. All of these matches will be played under the lights at the R Premadasa Stadium. The Indian team will return home on July 26. The final match of the tour will be played on July 25.
