In a major blow to the Sunrisers Hyderabad T Natarajan, has been ruled out of IPL 2021 due to a knee injury. The 30-year-old left-arm pacer is likely has been advised not to take further part in the T20 tournament. He has played only two matches this season and Sunrisers Hyderabad may have to look for a replacement. It is speculated that the pacer could be asked to report back to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore.  The extent of the injury is still unknown, and the pacer did not take part in the last two IPL games for SRH. His last game was against Kolkata Knight Riders in Chennai on April 11.

Speaking about Natarajan's injury, David Warner  earlier, said, "He has obviously got a sore knee. given the circumstance in these bubbles, if he goes and gets a scan, he obviously has to sit out for seven days. He has to get back in quarantine. We are just monitoring him at the moment. The physios are doing their best to analyse from a face point of view but he obviously has to go out and get a scan at some point," Warner said on Wednesday. After three unsuccessful chases on the trot, Sunrisers Hyderabad finally managed to complete a successful one to register their first win of IPL 2021 after restricting Punjab Kings for just 120. The Sunrisers next face Delhi Capitals on April 25 in Chennai.
