Multiple members of Chennai Super Kings yesterday tested positive for COVID-19 including one India player. as well as members of the support/coaching staff. The team landed in Dubai on August 21 and upon completion of the mandatory six-day quarantine, were supposed to start training from Friday (August 28). However, with the new development, they have extended their quarantine period. While the source of the spread is yet to be found out a video of a man giving hugs to players of CSK has now gone viral.

The latest health scare has more or less exposed the vunerablility of the players in such circumstances. According to a CSK team insider, two COVID-19 tests were done at the camp in Chennai which came out to be negative. As per the health authorities, however, the virus has an incubation period of 14 days which is why the virus was only found out in the latest test All those tested positive will be kept away from the team and only after they are tested negative in two consecutive tests, would they be allowed to join the team members in the bio-secure facility results. The cash rich league is set to commence on September 19th with the finals to be played on November 10.
