AIIMS report rules out claims that Sushant Singh Rajput was poisoned and strangulated

Days after a lawyer representing Sushant Singh Rajput’s family claimed the actor had been strangled, AIIMS, in its report to the Central Bureau of Investigation has ruled out all such theories as per a NDTV report.  The news channel claims that  AIIMS Panel has completed the examination and closed the file after giving conclusive medico-legal opinion in this case and the CBI is corroborating the report with their investigation. In its opinion, the AIIMS report has dismissed all the theories of poisoning and strangling. The report further stated that the CBI is likely to continue its probe into "abetment to suicide", the charge that was originally listed by the Bihar Police. Source from the agency told the news portal that all aspects are being looked into including murder angle. However, so far, no evidence has come up to prove it to be a case of murder. The report also added that if during the course of investigation, they get any evidence, murder charge will be added. For now, abetment to suicide and other charges in the FIR are being probed.

Further, the NDTV report claimed that the 'circumstantial evidence also suggested that it was a case of suicide and not murder.' As per their report, the AIIMS panel has concurred opinion with Mumbai hospital's autopsy report as well regarding Sushant's death cause. The Mumbai hospital report had mentioned that Sushant died of "asphyxia due to hanging. "Last week, Sushant Singh Rajput’s family lawyer Vikas Singh tweeted: “Being frustrated by the delay in CBI’s decision to convert complicity in suicide into SSR murder. The doctor who is part of of the AIIMS team had told me a long time ago that the photos I sent 200% indicate that it is death by strangulation and not by suicide. Lawyer Satish Maneshinde, representing Rhea Chakraborty, the arrested girlfriend of Sushant Singh Rajput, had urged the CBI to set up a new medical council “so that the investigations are impartial and free from any inference”. Rhea Chakraborty has been in prison since September 9; She was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau for organizing drugs for the Bollywood star, 34, who was found dead in her Mumbai apartment on June 14. Sushant Singh Rajput’s family accused Rhea Chakraborty of taking money from him, treating him and playing a role in his death.
