Ajay Devgn to make his OTT debut with remake of British show Luther

Superstar Ajay Devgn is all set to explore the digital world. Earlier in March, Ajay Devgn had left a cryptic tweet on his Twitter profile where he asked his fans to now call him Sudarshan. Now as per a Pinkvilla report, the Tanhaji star is  gearing up for his digital debut with the Hotstar show, Luther, which is the official adaptation of the British classic psychological crime thriller of the same name. The Indian version will be produced by Applause Entertainment. Reportedly, Ileana D'Cruz has been approached to play the female lead in the show. The official announcement is expected soon. It will be directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, who helmed Ferrari Ki Sawaari and Marathi film Ventilator. 

Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn will be next seen Bhuj: The Pride Of India, which will stream on Disney + Hotstar. The film also features Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Nora Fatehi and others in pivotal roles. Set during the Indo-Pak war of 1971, it narrates the tale of IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik. For the unversed, Vijay Karnik was in-charge of the Bhuj Airport during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. On the other hand, Sanjay Dutt plays the character of Ranchordas Svabhai Ravari, who helped the army during the war. While Nora Fatehi will play an Indian spy named Heena Rehman, Sonakshi Sinha will be seen as a social worker named Sunderben Jetha Madharparya. The actor will soon resume the shoot of Amit Sharma's Maidaan. Talking about the film, it is based on the "golden years of Indian Football". Ajay essays the role of the legendary coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who is said to be the founding father of Indian football. He was an Indian football coach and manager of the Indian national team from 1950 until his death in 1963. He is also regarded as the architect of modern Indian football. The film features The Family Man actress Priyamani as the female lead.
