Twitter users detected an obvious link to the mocking of Arnab Goswami by Kiku Sharda and Krushna Abhishek of The Kapil Sharma Show after the Narcotics Control Bureau raided the residence of their co-star Bharti Singh. The video of the NCB personnel arriving at the residence of Bharti went viral on social media, prompting many to link the development to the mocking of the Republic TV founder by Krushna and Kiku a few weeks ago. Kiku Sharda and Krushna Abhishek had recreated the scene of Arnab Goswami’s ‘give me drugs’ rant with mujhe jug do (Give ma a jug) jibe on The Kapil Sharma Show.

While mocking Goswami, these comedians had called their news channel Raddi News, which loosely translates as Garbage News. For the unversed, superstar Salman Khan is one of the producers of the show along with several others. For the unversed, Arnab Goswami had slammed Salman  on live television for staying silent amid the aftermath of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and the ensuing drug allegations against members of the film industry. He had demanded to know where was Salman during all of this. A video on this had gone viral on social media.

Several other actors including Sanam Johar, Abigail Pande, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal among others have been questioned before on the basis of Whatsapp chats involving drugs. Both Bharti and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyya have been summoned. The NCB has been probing the alleged drug use in Bollywood after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June on the basis of WhatsApp chats involving drugs. The central agency had earlier arrested Rajput’s girlfriend, actress Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, some employees of the late filmstar and a few others under various sections of the NDPS Act.
