"Farmers' issues shouldn't be diverted by anyone": Diljit sends a strong message to Kangana

Diljit Dosanjh on Saturday joined the ongoing farmers' protest at Singhu border (Haryana-Delhi border). "We have only one request to Centre..please fulfil the demands of our farmers. Everyone is sitting here peacefully & entire country is with farmers," he said while addressing the farmers."Hats off to all of you, farmers have created a new history. This history would be narrated to future generations. Farmers' issues shouldn't be diverted by anyone," he further said.  Diljit's meeting with the farmers comes on the back of his much talked about Twitter feud with Kangana Ranaut.  The Queen actress, took to Twitter on Thursday, calling Diljit filmmaker Karan Johar’s pet and herself a lioness. The Twitter fight escalated with the Punjabi actor getting strong support from many quarters.

Since their big Twitter war on Thursday, fans and Twitterati have labelled him as ‘GOAT’ on social media and the hashtags #DiljitVsKangana, #DiljitDestroysKangana and many other such topics have been trending on the social media site till date. It all started when Diljit on Thursday criticised Kangana for misidentifying an elderly woman, who had joined the farmers' protest, as Bilkis Bano of Shaheen Bagh. He also shared a video of the elderly lady in question, revealing that she was Mahinder Kaur. Earlier, the ‘Manikarnika’ star took to Twitter to share multiple tweets and check the misconceptions that led to the social media war.“I am with farmers, last year I activity promoted agroforestry and donated for the cause as well, I have been vocal about farmers exploitation and their problems also I worry a lot so prayed for resolves in this sector, which finally happened with this revolutionary bill,” she said. Continuing further she said, “This Bill is going to transform farmers lives for better in many ways, I understand the anxiousness and effect of many rumours but I am certain government will address all doubts, please be patient. I am with my farmers and people of Punjab hold a special place in my heart.”
