Filmmaker Hansal Mehta has developed mild COVID-19 symptoms, including fever and sore throat. While he has taken a test for the virus and currently is waiting for the results, he shared on Twitter, “Looks like I’ve also got the virus. Throat, fever and other mild symptoms. Awaiting tests but treatment has begun. Will fight the damn virus.”.As soon as the post went live, Kangana Ranaut commented, “Wish you fast recovery”. “Get well soon Bapu!!!” added Manoj Bajpayee. Pooja Bhatt said, “Please do take care & bounce back quickly! The world at large needs you around for a long time to come”. “Please please get well soon. Sending all my duas” replied Tillotama Shome.

A few days ago, the ‘Scam 1992’ director took to Twitter and sought help for his son Pallava who tested positive for the coronavirus. “Need help with procuring Remdesvir for my son Pallava who is Covid +ve and has low O2 saturation. Would appreciate leads” read his post.Since his tweet, friends like Konkana Sen Sharma and strangers have come forward with information and contact numbers of people who could lead him to the drug.In a span of an hour, the director did find Remdesvir for his son and took to Twitter to thank everyone for the help. He wrote, "Am overwhelmed that so many wonderful people reached out to help Pallava. Have deleted the tweet as his requirement is being met. Thank you so much for all the love. Keep him in your prayers. Love (sic)."On Sunday, Hansal Mehta got into an ugly Twitter spat with several users after he asked if the Covid-19 situation in India was better or worse than that in Pakistan. Several users asked him to move to Pakistan permanently if he thinks things are better there, with one user even sending him a one-way ticket to Pakistan via Dubai. Director Hansal Mehta, known for films like Shahid and Simran is one of the leading filmmakers of India.
