Kabir Singh completes 2 years, Shahid reveals Mira Rajput motivated him to do the film

It has been 2 years since the release of Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani's 'Kabir Singh'. Kabir Singh released on June 21, 2019, the movie became a superduper hit. Not only that, this movie took Shahid Kapoor's career to a different height. Kiara became everyone's favorite. The love story of Kabir and Preeti in this film captivated many. The songs of the movie were also a hit. But did you know why Shahid accepted this movie? It was because of his wife. 

Yes, Mira Rajput has contributed a lot into Shahid's becoming Kabir Singh for the movie. On the occasion of Kabir Singh completing 2 years, Shahid did a live session on Instagram. During which he revealed that it was Mira who encouraged me to work in this movie. "I did this role only because of her and that is the truth," said Shahid.

Shahid also revealed that Tara Sutaria had earlier been signed for the role of Preeti in Kabir Singh. The film's director Sandeep Reddy Wanga already wanted Kiara for the role of Preeti. She was their first choice. But for some reason the discussion didn't materialize after which Tara Sutaria was signed. Tara was busy with her debut movie 'Student of the Year 2' at that time Kabir Singh's date were getting extended. Eventually, the makers went to Kiara once again and the movie was finally made with Kiara, Shahid said.
