Kamal Haasan gets discharged from hospital after his leg surgery

Kamal Haasan, who recently underwent leg surgery at Sri Ramachandra Hospital, has been discharged. Few photos of the actor-politician posing with the doctors at the hospital after the surgery have surfaced on social media. According to the doctors and his daughters Shruti Haasan and Akshara Haasan, the surgery was successful. Kamal Haasan has been advised to take rest at home for at least a week.He will be heading to his home in the East Coast Road (ECR), where he will recuperate. Soon, he will get back to work in films and politics. The Vishwaroopam 2 actor had to undergo a surgery in his ankle, which was a follow-up surgery to the fatal fall that he took in 2016.

Kamal Haasan has had several surgeries in the past and has about 16 fractures in his body.On January 19, Shruti Haasan and Akshara Haasan released a joint statement saying that the surgery was successful. They also thanked everyone who prayed for Kamal Haasan's speedy recovery.That night, Kamal Haasan took to Twitter to share his first post on the micro-blogging site after his surgery. He thanked the doctors at Sri Ramachandra Hospital who treated him. He also added that people's love is his medicine. He wrote, "The surgery was successful. Big thanks to the doctors' team at Sri Ramchandra Hospital. Till I recover, I wish to interact here and in the hearts of the people. People's love is my medicine. I wish to see them soon (sic)."Kamal Haasan will resume campaigning for his party Makkal Needhi Maiam once he recuperates from the surgery.
