Kamal Haasan interacts on video call with fan battling brain cancer

Superstar Kamal Haasan recently spoke to an ailing fan named Saketh Ram, who is battling brain cancer. It was Saketh's longtime dream to speak to his idol Kamal Haasan. Saketh and his family members spoke to the Hey Ram  actor via a video call. Pictures of Kamal Haasan interacting with his fans are doing the rounds on social media.Thanking Kamal Haasan for his gesture, Sandhya Vaidyanathan, who had organized the call, wrote on her Instagram page: “AND WE MADE THIS HAPPEN! OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! Saketh's wish was to see @ikamalhaasan and this happened .. I'm so grateful to the team from his office and to everyone who amplified my story and I can't stop crying.. this is epic.. this is what I live for…to make dreams true.. to help people ! Saketh has brain cancer stage 3 and is such a fighter and so positive... we are all so proud of him. Please pray for him.”

On the work front, Kamal Haasan was last seen in Vishwaroopam 2, which hit the theatres in 2018. He has two films - Indian 2 and Vikram also lined up. Recently, the actor celebrated 13 years of his sci-fi action thriller Dasavatharam. Kamal took a trip down memory lane to share what went behind making the film, which he said was nothing short of a "masterclass" for him.Directed by KS Ravikumar, the film starred Kamal Haasan in 10 distinct roles.

Dasavatharam, which was under production for nearly three years, became a massive hit upon its release in 2008."'Dasavatharam' was a masterclass for me on every technical aspect. There were many masters to teach and learn from and cinema was the ultimate master and very forgiving when we failed in some parts, definitely more forgiving than the audience who made it a hit. I can say I learnt democracy during the making of this film," he said in a statement.The film also starred Asin, in a double role, and Mallika Sherawat. The film's soundtrack was composed by Himesh Reshammiya, with composer Devi Sri Prasad giving its background score.
