Kangana Ranaut mocks Deepika Padukone for using depression as publicity stunt

Kangana Ranaut has welcomed Supreme Court’s verdict for a CBI probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death. The Queen actress took to Twitter and mentioned how the verdict is a huge victory  for millions of Sushant's fans. She tweeted, "Humanity wins, congratulations to each one of SSR warriors, first time I felt such strong force of collective consciousness, AMAZING." However, not the once to mince words, in the following tweet, Ranaut too a sly dig at Deepika Padukone who had urged fans to spread awareness about mental health after Sushant's tragic demise.

Taking to her Twitter, the Gangster actress wrote in Hindi, "Repeat after me, depression ka dhandha chalane walon ko public ne unki aukat dikhadi #CBIforShushant #SushantSingRajput #1stStepToSSRJustice." Earlier,  Naseeruddin Shah took a dig at Kangana by calling her a half-educated starlet for using Sushant's death as a medium to settle her personal scores. Kangana in response, asked the veteran actor in return that would he have made the comment, if she was Parkash Padukone or Anil Kapoor's daughter. Kangana has been vocal about the issue of nepotism in the film industry. In the past, the actress has taken to social media to demand justice for Sushant Singh Rajput. She has also called out Bollywood biggies for perpetuating favouritism in the industry. On the other hand, The top court's verdict was met with unanimous praise across Bollywood as well as within the politicians' circle. Akshay Kumar, Ranvir Shorey, Simi Garewal, Devendra Fadnavis were some of the many prominent names  who hailed the decision.
