Legendary musician Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan dies aged 90.  Lata Mangeshkar took to her Twitter to offer her condolences. Sharing the picture of Khaan Saab, she wrote, ''Mujhe abhi abhi ye dukhad khabar mili hai ki mahan shastriya gayak Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan Saheb is duniya mein nahi rahe. Ye sunke mujhe bahut dukh hua. Wo gayak to acche the hee par insaaan bhi bahut acche the.''She further added, ''Meri bhanji ne bhi Khan sahab se sangeet sikha hai, maine bhi unse thoda sangeet sikha tha. Unke jaane se sangeet ki bahut haani hui hai. Main unko vinamra shraddhanjali arpan karti hun.''A.R Rahman wrote, ''The sweetest teacher of all ..May the Ghafoor-ur-Rahim give you a special place in the next world #UstadGhulamMustafa''.

I request everyone to pray for his pure soul that he may get the highest ranks in Jannat-Ul-Firdaus. #ustadghulammustafakhan #restinpeace.”Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan taught music to Hariharan, Sonu Nigam and Shaan. He was the legend who was behind teaching music to some of the greatest singers that the music industry has ever seen. Born on March 03, 1931, Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan, was the proud recipient of some of the most prestigious awards in the field of music – the Padma Shri (1991), Padma Bhusan (2006) and the Padma Vibhushan (2018). He was also awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, the highest recognition given to practising artists by the Sangeet Natak Akademi in 2003.
