NCB arrests drug supplier with Bollywood links, seizes charas and cash worth 4.5 lakhs

In the latest development in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, the (NCB) on Friday said that it has arrested a key person involved with the drug cartel linked to Bollywood and other celebrities. A team led by zonal director Sameer Wankhede arrested Rahil Vishram from Versova and recovered 900gm of charas and Rs 4.5 lakh in cash from him. According to sources, RahilVishram’s name cropped up during the interrogation of Anuj Keshwani, arrested for alleged links with peddlers who used to supply drugs to actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Sushant had died by suicide on June 14.

“Rahil admitted that he supplied drugs to Bollywood personalities and also disclosed the identity of his mentor. We are preparing a list of celebrities who were buying drugs from both,’’ an official said. In a separate case, 490 gm of ganja was seized from four persons about whom Arenja had provided some leads.Vishal Salve (25) and Jaichetan Raichera (29) were arrested from Badlapur in Thane district, while Rohan Talwar (29) and Nongthung Lotha (30) were arrested from suburban Powai.The NCB has so far arrested more than a dozen persons, including actor Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik, in the drugs case lodged in connection with the Sushant death probe. The CBI is probing the case while the Enforcement Directorate is probing the money laundering angle alleged by Sushant's father KK Singh. Sushant was found dead on June 14, 2020.
