NCB arrests Karan Johar's former company employee Kshitij Prasad in drugs case

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested Kshitij Prasad. He worked as an executive producer with Karan Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment. Kshitij was detained on Friday. He was summoned for questioning by the NCB on Thursday. However, as he was in Delhi, he joined the investigation on Friday. A small quantity of marijuana was seized by the NCB from Kshitij's home. .Kshitij was evasive during his questioning and the NCB found his answers were allegedly unsatisfactory. Prasad was also confronted about the video of Karan Johar’s 2019 party at his residence. As per the reports; he bought huge amounts of drugs regularly.

Earlier today, filmmaker Karan Johar denied the allegation over the use and consumption of the narcotic substance terming them "baseless and false".Johar also addressed the issue of the emergence of two names, Kshitij Prasad and Anubhav Chopra, during the ongoing investigation saying he does not know these individuals. "I would like to further state that several media/news channels have been airing news reports that Kshitij Prasad and Anubhav Chopra are my ‘aides’/’close aides’. I would like to place on record that I don’t know these individuals personally and neither of these two individuals is ‘aides’ or ‘close aides’," he said. Actor Rakul Preet Singh, in her admission to the NCB on Friday in the ongoing Bollywood-drug probe, has named four top actors and Kshitij in her statement. Rakul Preet has denied consuming drugs. Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone has admitted that she discussed drugs with Karishma Prakash in the WhatsApp chat retrieved by the Narcotics Control Bureau. The actress was grilled by the NCB today. Earlier, Karishma was also questioned in the drug probe. The two women were also made to confront each other by the NCB officials.
