NCB issues summons to Rhea's brother, Showik for his alleged link with drug peddlers

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has summoned Rhea Chakraborty's brother Showik Chakraborty on Saturday in connection with the alleged drug cartel. Various chats have been accessed where Showik is seen interacting with drug peddlers. According to Times Now, report, Showik has been under the lens of the agencies over his drug chats with peddlers. Previously, chats of Showik Chakraborty were accessed in which he was seen communicating with one of the drug peddlers for drugs. In one of them, Showik had also mentioned that he wanted something for his dad as well. However, there’s still no confirmation if he was indeed referring to his father, Indrajit or it was just another code for something or someone else in the case.

Meanwhile, Rhea Chakraborty’s father Indrajit Chakraborty was summoned by the CBI for the third time today. After relentless questioning for about five hours, Senior Chakraborty was seen leaving the CBI camp office at DRDO guest house. According to a report in Times Now, Indrajit was questioned for five long hours and the basic line of questioning was the events leading up to the fateful day of June 14. He was also questioned about their financial transaction. The report also added that the mainline of questioning was about the drug use angle that has come up in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. His son Showik Chakraborty was reportedly in contact with one of the drug peddlers. The CBI wanted to know if Indrajit knew about his son’s drug consumption. He was also reportedly asked if he had prescribed any medication to Sushant following the allegations from the actor’s family that Rhea was giving some medication to Sushant.
