BJP leader Ram Kadam has hit out at Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan over his recently-released Amazon Prime Video web series, Tandav. According to ANI, BJP MLA, Ram Kadam has lodged a complaint against the makers of web series at the Ghatkopar police station in Mumbai for the same. The politician even staged a protest with a group of people, calling for a boycott of the series. In a statement to the agency, he said, “Strict against should be taken against the actor, director and producer of the web series.” Earlier, on Saturday, the BJP leader, in his tweet, claimed, “Tandav is anti Dalit and full of communal hatred against Hindus.”

Meanwhile, BJP MP Manoj Kotak has written to the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar, requesting him to ban the web series. "It seems that the makers of Tandav have deliberately mocked Hindu Gods and disrespected Hindu religious sentiments," he wrote in his letter that has now been made public. He also urged the need to regulate OTT platforms. Late Sunday evening, a police van and a couple of police were seen deployed outside Saif and Kareena’s new residence. The policemen were seen keeping guard at the gates to keep any kind of trouble at bay. Saif is currently shooting outside Mumbai. Kareena, who is pregnant with her second child, recently moved into their new apartment, which she had shared a glimpse of, writing, “Door to new beginnings”. Tandav, starring Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Sunil Grover, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Kumud Mishra, among others, premiered on Amazon Prime Video on January 15.
