Pulkit Samrat recalls memories of watching Republic Day Parade at India Gate

India is celebrating its 72nd Republic Day, the day its constitution came into force in 1950. The chief attraction of the celebration, like every year, will be the grand Republic Day parade at Rajpath in the national capital. Sharing a fond memory, of his Republic Day celebrations, actor, Pulkit Samrat recalled in his interview to Bombay Times, how his family would celebrate Republic Day in Delhi. The actor says, “My grandfather used to make sure that all the kids in the house are watching the parade live. In fact, at one time he got passes for all the kids to watch the parade at India Gate. We all were so excited to see the procession. I remember, every year Odisha and Karanata would come up with very unique jhaankiya. If I am not wrong the year I went to see the parade live that time Karnataka even won. The marching soldiers were a stunning sight. Jab unke kadam chalte hai aur woh salute maarte hai, dharti hilti hai. You can feel the vibrations. I used to get goosebumps.”

On the personal front, the actor is in a strong relationship with actress Kriti Kharbanda. The two have been dating for a couple of years now. The duo were recently spotted together at a lunch date. Kriti and Pulkit were last seen together in Bejoy Nambiar's Taish. The film released on Zee5 as a film and also as a six-part web series. They, however, did not play a couple in the movie, as Kriti was paired opposite Jim Sarbh. They have also worked together in Veere Ki Wedding and Pagalpanti. Pulkit was previously married to Shweta Rohira from 2014 to 2015. On the work front, the actor is all  set to star together in upcoming film Suswagatam Khushaamadeed. Katrina Kaif's sister and newcomer Isabelle Kaif has been zeroed in as the leading lady of the film. Pulkit had shared a photo on Instagram which showed him with a mystery girl. He had teased that he would reveal her name the next day. "Goofy, fun & gorgeous! Can you guess who my co-star is in #SuswagatamKhushaamadeed Wait for it ! Big reveal tomorrow," he had written. So on Thursday, he shared two more pictures, finally revealing Isabelle's face. Suswagatam Khushaamadeed is about spreading the message of social harmony. It will have Pulkit essaying the role of a Delhi boy, Aman, with Isabelle playing the role of Noor who hails from Agra.
