Raj Kundra believed live streaming of sexual acts was the future in porn business

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra was reportedly arrested by Mumbai Police late on July 19 for allegedly making pornographic films. Police said that Kundra had been publishing pornographic films on subscription-based mobile applications.As per Mumbai Police, Raj Kundra was running this racket in a very systematic manner. He had a proper strategy to multiply the profit.As per some electronic evidence accessed by Mumbai Police, Raj Kundra was of the opinion that live streaming of sexual acts is the best way. As per these pieces of evidence, Kundra was of the opinion that live content is the future.

As per Mumbai Police sources, Raj Kundra's plan was to make his porn business as huge and massive as the Bollywood industry.Some evidence has also revealed that Kundra had a proper contingency plan as well. The investigation so far has revealed that he had 2-3 apps also as a backup. Two years ago when he started this app-based porn content work, he used to earn Rs 2-3 lakh per day but later it became Rs 8-10 lakh per day.He had the backup apps if in case the current app was traced by agencies. He was also planning to focus more on live streaming as it cuts down the other part and is more lucrative.The Mumbai Crime Branch have named Raj Kundra as the ‘key conspirator’ in the case involving creation and publishing of porn videos through the ‘Hotshots’ app. Mumbai's Joint Police Commissioner (Crime) Milind Bharambe has revealed that this free to download app has been pulled off by both Apple and Google Playstore for the type of its content. Raj Kundra has said that he sold ‘Hotshots’ for $25,000 in 2019. However, it is also being reported that Raj Kundra and his UK based brother-in-law Pradeep Bakshi worked together on this app.
