Rekha's Mumbai bungalow turns COVID-19 hotspot after four guards near her area test positive for the virus

Days after  Rekha's security guard tested Covid-19 positive last weekend, four other watchmen in the area have contracted the virus. The four watchmen work in bungalows close to Rekha's bungalow in the Bandstand area of Bandra. As per the reports in India Today, all of them have been shifted to a BMC Covid facility. Reports of nine more persons, who came in close contact with the staff, are awaited. According to the ward office, these staff members must have been meeting on a regular basis and hence got infected.

Rekha's bungalow is situated in the Bandstand area of Bandra, Mumbai, and is named Sea Springs. However, no official statement has been given by Rekha or her spokesperson as yet. While Rekha’s bungalow has not been sealed, the portion of the compound which housed the staff has been sealed. Only the entrance of her house is sanitised as no one opened the door when BMC officials reached. Meanwhile, Rekha's neighbour, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar's house was also sealed. BMC banner was spotted outside Zoya's house declaring it as a containment zone. While there has been no information if any member of her household has tested positive for COVID19, the house has been sealed.
