Rhea Chakraborty's FIR against Sushant's sister's transferred to CBI

A day after actor Rhea Chakraborty accused Sushant Singh Rajput's sisters of making "bogus medical prescription, the case has been transferred to the CBI for further investigation in accordance with orders of the Supreme Court. For the unversed, an offence was registered against Mr Rajput's sisters Priyanka Singh and Meetu Singh, and Dr. Tarun Kumar of Delhi's Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital for abetting suicide, cheating, forgery and criminal conspiracy under section 464, 465, 466, 468, 474, 306, 120 (B), 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with section 8 (c), 21, 22, and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.Rhea Chakraborty's complaint alleged that the forged prescription depicted Sushant Singh Rajput as being at a Delhi Out Patient Department when in fact he was in Mumbai. The drugs prescribed by the doctor (Dr Tarun Kumar) were prohibited from being prescribed electronically under the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020," Rhea stated.

According to news agency ANI, the case has been registered against Priyanka, Dr Tarun Kumar, and others under the NDPS act. Furthermore, as per reports, Rhea stated that she had explained to Sushant that given the seriousness of his condition, and the fact that he already had medications prescribed by doctors, he should not take any other medication, and this is turn, led to an argument between the two. Also, as per a report in Times Now, it is being said that CBI will seek legal opinion on Rhea Chakraborty’s FIR. Sushant Singh Rajput's family's lawyer Vikas Singh rebutted Ms Chakraborty's charge saying there was "no criminality" involved. He said the complaint was her attempt to keep the Mumbai Police's jurisdiction alive in the case after the Supreme Court asked the CBI to take over the entire investigation. Rhea, who is accused of abetting Sushant's suicide by the actor's family will appear today at NCB office for Day 3 of interrogation. Speculations are rife that the Jalebi actress is most likely to get arrested today.
