Salman Khan to provide monetary assistance to Bollywood's 25,000 daily wage workers

Superstar Salman Khan has once again come to the forefront, to financially support Bollywood's daily wage workers.  The actor will be crediting Rs 1500 in the bank account of 25,000 industry workers who are suffering due to the coronavirus-induced lockdown. Recently, Salman also distributed refreshments and meals to the frontline workers like medical and police personnel, BMC workers and cleaners in Mumbai. In a move to help the country, which is battling with the second wave of the virus, the actor also declared that a portion of the revenue generated by his upcoming film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai will go towards Covid-19 relief work.

A few days ago, Salman,  reached out to an 18-year-old boy from Karnataka whose father and the sole earning member of the family succumbed to Covid-19.The boy took to Twitter to ask for help from Salman Khan. The actor got to know about the boy through Yuva Sena leader Rahul S Kanal's post. Kanal has been collaborating with Salman on the Being Haangry food trucks, which provide food to frontline workers. They also provided food to daily wage workers and underprivileged people across Mumbai during the nationwide lockdown last year. Talking about Salman helping the young boy, Kanal told Mid Day, “We have provided ration and educational equipment to him. We will be there for him and provide whatever is needed for his betterment. Salman’s family of fans are enabling us to help others. Salman told us to go out and be there for every human in need. He is aware of every fan club devoted to him. He is also aware of every request that comes his way, and the ones that we are providing aid to.” On the work front, Salman is waiting for the release of his upcoming film, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. The film will release on Eid this year, May 13. Directed by Prabhudeva, Radhe also stars Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles.
