Sandip Ssingh to be summoned by CBI in Sushant's death - Reports

Filmmaker Sandip Ssingh whose role in Sushant Singh Rajput case has been under the scanner is likely to appear before  the CBI to record his statement. According to a report in Times Now,  the date of his questioning is yet to be fixed. Ssingh's contradicting statements in television interviews has grabbed attention in the entire case.  Sandip was snapped on 14 June with Sushant's sister Meetu Singh at Cooper Hospital and was taking care of all the formalities after the late actor's body was taken in for post mortem. Sandip's signature is also on several important documents and he will be quizzed about the same by CBI.

In lengthy and emotional notes, Sandip had revealed on Instagram how he was extremely close to the actor and mourned his loss. However, Sandip's call data records showed a different truth. As reported earlier, Sandip was not in touch with Sushant for the last 10 months before his demise. The late actor's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and Sushant's family members have also stated that they did not know of Sandip and that he wasn't in touch with Sushant. Sandip's call details also revealed that he spoke to the ambulance driver on two occasions. Thrice on the day of Sushant's demise, 14 June, and once on 16 June - a day after the actor's funeral.

Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh,  said that he will be forwarding requests to probe links between film producer Sandip and BJP to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He said that he had received several complaints that Ssingh, who had produced the Vivek Oberoi starrer- 'PM Narendra Modi' biopic had alleged links with BJP and the ongoing 'drug angle' the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is probing. Currently, the CBI, the NCB, ED and the Mumbai police are still probing into the 34-year-old actor's demise when he was found dead in his Bandra residence on June 14.The controversy started when Congress leader Sachin Sawant asked Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh to look into BJP's links to Ssingh. Sawant tweeted a photo of Devendra Fadnavis with Sushant's self-proclaimed friend Sandip SSingh at the poster launch event of his film.
