Sanjay Dutt's character in Panipat courts controversy

Ashutosh Gowariker's historical drama 'Panipat' has been in the news ever since the trailer of the film was released weeks ago. Now in a recent development, Dr. Mohammed Taqi, a Pakistan - American columnist has questioned the casting of Dutt in the film. Taqi said, Ahmad Shah Abdali first invaded India when he was 25 years old and was he was 39 during the Battle of Panipat. He added that Abdali was a handsome man by all accounts and he died at age 50. Sanjay Dutt, on the other hand, is 60 and looks 160. He further went on to say that the casting director of the film should be fired. 

In another tweet, the Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Chaudhary Fawad Hussain lashed out at Sanjay's character on Twitter stating, When idiots try to rewrite history under RSS influence this is minimum one should expect, agay agay deikheiye hota hai kiya..... Earlier, former Afghanistan Ambassador to India, Dr. Shaida Abdali had voiced her concerns over the depiction of Ahmad Shah Abdali in the film. The movie which is based on the Third Battle of Panipat stars Arjun Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. Check out the tweets here....
