Shakeela Teaser: Richa Chadha shines as the 90s sex symbol with oomph and glamour

The teaser of Richa Chadha's upcoming biopic based on the life of actress Shakeela has hit the web. Oozing oomph and glamour, Richa shines in the short teaser clip which has been released by the makers. The film is all set to hit the theaters this Christmas and the Panga actress will be seen essaying the titular role. With Richa delivering a breathtaking performance, she pays the perfect ode to the South siren, who ruled the roost in the 90s. Meanwhile, talking about stepping into Shakeela's shoes, Richa said, "I am happy that the film is releasing. Hopefully, it will bring some laughter and entertainment into the lives of people and this depressing year will end on a happier note."

Capturing the life and times of Shakeela, the biopic traces the journey of her muse - filled with hurdles and discrimination. Apart from Richa, the film also features Pankaj Tripathi and Malayalam actor, Rajeev Pillai in pivotal roles and is slated for a Christmas release. The film is presented and produced by Sammys Magic Cinema Motion Picture Production and distributed by UFO.  It is slated for a Christmas release. The first look of the film received positive response from fans. One of the biggest releases since lockdown, the film promises to be a crowd puller. For the unversed, Shakeela, who hailed from Kerala, had predominantly worked in many adult movies across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. She appeared in about 250 films, most of them controversial.
