"She was cool, didn’t treat me like a kid": Kangana recalls her first meeting with Priyanka Chopra as a 19-year old

Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Fashion' completed 12 years today. The film starred Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut and Mugdha Godse in lead roles. The movie revolved around he story of an aspiring model describing her sucess and decline. Both Kangana and Priyanka won numerous accolades for their performances in the film. As the film clocks yet another milestone, one of the lead stars, Kangana Ranaut in an interview to ETimes described her first interaction with Priyanka Chopra. The Queen actress said, “Priyanka is fabulous. She is somebody who back then also when I was 19 and she was such a big star. I was so starry-eyed because when I was in school, that time I have been watching her films and here I was in my initial years.”

Continuing further she said, “She was so cool. She didn’t treat me like a kid or a junior. I felt like she is a friend, who shared food with me and asked me questions like ‘how do I look?, is this OK?, how this dress is looking?’ So I didn’t feel like she is my senior and she is such a big star. It was a nice feeling that she has that ability, it’s wonderful. ”In an interaction with Etimes Bhandarkar spoke about how the film stays relevant in the society till today. He was all praise for Ranaut and PeeCee. He said, ''I was very happy to have Priyanka and Kangana on board. Even though Kangana had a short screen time, she created a significant impact. Kangana's entry during the ramp walk was so huge on the sets, we got goosebumps there itself.'' The film managed to become a huge success back in 2008 and Kangana bagged her first National Award for Best Supporting Actress for the film.
