Shoot of Akshay Kumar's Ram Setu put on hold after actor tests positive for COVID-19

Actor Akshay Kumar has tested positive for Covid-19. He took to social media to make the announcement. "I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I'm under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action very soon," he wrote. Now as per a E-Times report, the shoot of ‘Ram Setu’ has been put on hold which was scheduled to be held till April 9. 

A massive set was built  in Madh Island and it will remain redundant for some time now. The team was suppose to travel  out of Mumbai for another schedule, but that will also have to be re-worked now. Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha were shooting with Akshay for ‘Ram Setu’, which is directed by Abhishek Sharma. “Jacqueline , director Abhishek and creative producer Chandraprakash Dwivedi will also have to take the Covid-19 test as they were working closely with Akshay Kumar. Ram Setu' features Akshay in the role of an archaeologist. Akhay has been one of the busiest film stars ever since the lockdown was eased last year. He has started and finished shoots for multiple projects, including Bell Bottom and Atrangi Re. The actor is the latest Bollywood celebrity to test positive for the disease. Recently, Alia Bhatt, Aamir Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and multiple others tested positive.
