Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, who's film Drishyam 2 released recently, has been hailed by many as one of the best crime thrillers of recent times. Drishyam 2, which is directed by Jeethu Joseph, managed to keep the hype of the film. Now, Baahubali director SS Rajamouli also called Mohanlal starrer a masterpiece. He sent a text message to the director this morning that has taken social media by storm. SS Rajamouli's personal message for Jeethu Joseph read, "Hi Jeethu, This is Rajamouli. Film Director… watched drishyam 2, few days back…It lingered so much in my thoughts that I watched went back to watch drishyam first part…(I only watched drishyam in Telugu when it released) I must say the direction screenplay editing acting..every craft is truly amazing..but the writing is really something else…it is world standard…the first part itself is a masterpiece..for the second one…to come up with a storyline that seamlessly merges with the first, with the same gripping narration is nothing short of brilliance.. hoping to see many more masterpieces from you.

Mohanlal recently,  confessed that there were a few scenes in the film which were challenging for the actor. Mohanlal, who played the role of George Kutty in the film, said that these scenes required him to not show any emotions, which was tricky. "You're not supposed to show your emotions on your face, it's more of reacting. Acting is make-belief. So, you are hearing something, and you have to respond. So, if you respond in a proper way, then youa¿ll be caught. You're not supposed to do that. George Kutty cannot show any kind of real emotions on his face. So, he has to play the real emotion inside and he has to bring some other kind of emotions on his face. It is not that easy," he said. Meanwhile, the actor has been shooting for his next film Aaraattu which is directed by B Unnikrishnan and all set to release on August 12. Apart from Mohanlal and Shraddha Srinath, the film will also feature Nedumudi Venu, Saikumar, Siddique, Ashwin Kumar, Rachana Narayanankutty, Johnny Antony, Vijayaraghavan, Nandu, Swasika, and Neha Saxena in pivotal roles.
