Tamil actor and stunt man Maran dies of COVID-19 complications at 48

In yet another loss to the South film fraternity, actor and stunt man Maran died of COVID-19 complications. He was 48 at the time of his death. His mortal remains will be cremated by the Corporation officials as per covid protocols with none of his family members in attendance. Maran hailed from Naththam in Chengalpet district. He contracted the novel coronavirus and was admitted to a government hospital near his home two days ago. Though he received treatment for Covid-19, he succumbed to the disease on May 12.He acted as

Vijay's friend in Kuruvi and Ghilli. He played the role of Adhivaasi in director Dharani's Ghilli. Some of Maran's hit films include Boss Engira Baskaran, Thalainagaram, Dishoom, Vettaikaran and KGF: Chapter 1. Apart from doing comedy roles, he also acted as a villain in several films.  A few days ago, South actor and TV show host Thummala Narsimha Reddy aka TNR also passed away due COVID-19.
