'This is heartbreaking': Swara Bhasker on Rhea's brother Showik's arrest in drug case

Rhea Chakraborty's father Indrajith Chakraborty released a statement on Saturday, after the court sent his son on NCB custody till 9th September in an investigation into drug abuse allegations following the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.In light of the events, Indrajit Chakraborty, retired army surgeon had released a statement which read, "Congrats India ,you have arrested my son, I am sure next in line is my daughter. .You have effectively demolished a middle class family. But of course for sake of justice everything is justified. Jai Hind!" Soon after the message went viral, Swara Bhasker came out in defence of the family. Taking to her Twitter Swara wrote, This is heartbreaking! Shame on us!!!! Shame on our voyeurism and sadistic pleasure in the tragedy and pain of others! #RheaChakrobarty," tweeted Swara.

 

The NCB is all ready to confront Showik (in four-day custody with them after court order) along with Rhea Chakraborty in drug conspiracy case. Showik and Miranda were arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act on Friday evening. On Friday morning, teams of NCB searched the residences of Showik Chakraborty in Santa Cruz (West) area and Samuel Miranda in suburban Andheri (West) area, news agency PTI reported. The NCB launched an investigation after it received communication from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), in which there were chats related to drug consumption, procurement, usage and transportation in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.The ED had on July 31 registered a case in the late actor’s death after a First Information Report (FIR) was filed by Rajput’s father KK Singh against Rhea Chakraborty in Bihar on July 28.Rhea is the main accused in the death case of the 34-year-old actor. The case is being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on money laundering charges and the NCB.
