After Ranveer Singh-starrer 'Gully Boy' was announced as India's official entry to the 92nd Oscar Awards, netizens praised the film's team on microblogging site Twitter.

Expressing happiness over the film's selection in Oscars 2020, one of the Twitterati wrote, "And #GullyBoy is India's official entry to the Oscars... So happy to see a mainstream film going on the international circuit. @RanveerOfficial, Apna Time Aagaya."

Lauding 'Gully Boy's' cast and crew for their "hard work" another twitter user said, "Yes! Yes! Yes! We finally did it. Yes! Berlin, Bucheon & now Oscars! Take a bow All ur hard work has paid off. Outstanding! Speechless! What an achievement team! #GullyBoy."

"#gullyboy for #Oscars2020 Murad Ahmed @RanveerOfficial Proud #gullyboy Team," wrote another Twitterati.

"Congratulations @RanveerOfficial #GullyBoy #GullyBoyForOscars," said another Twitter user, praising while praising the blockbuster.

Wishing luck to the director Zoya Akhtar and the film's team, a netizen wrote, "#GullyBoy India's official entry in the Oscar !! Great news & all the best to the entire team !! #ZoyaAkhtar @RanveerOfficial @aliaa08 @ritesh_sid @FarOutAkhtar."

Calling the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer a "well-deserving" choice for Oscars, another user tweeted, "Well deserving #GullyBoy Congratulations @RanveerOfficial."

Referring to the viral news as "huge" for India another netizen tweeted, "Congratulations @RanveerOfficial! This is huge!!! #GullyBoy."

Other than India's official entry for Oscars, the flick has received a number of accolades including the NETPAC Award for Best Asian Film at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, South Korea; and Best Film at the Indian Festival of Melbourne in August this year.
