COVID-19: 26-year old suffers lung collapse while jogging with face mask

In a shocking turn of events, a 26-year old  man from China's Wuhan city ended up in a hospital with a complaint of chest pain after he went for a jog while wearing a face mask. The youngster soon had to undergo a emergency surgery  after he complained of breathing difficulty. Soon it was discovered that  the man’s left lung had compressed by 90 percent, moving his heart to the right side of his body.

Doctors say his condition was caused by the high pressure on the man's organ, due to his intense breathing while wearing the face covering. A collapsed lung is medically known as pneumothorax, which usually occurs when the lung is punctured and air escapes into the chest cavity. Experts are of the opinion that people who have asthma, cystic fibrosis or pneumonia or more likely to get  affected by the same. They also can develop in people who don't have any obvious lung disease, and is most common in tall, thin men aged from 20 to 40 and those who are smokers.
