Ajit Pawar: Farmers bill & labour reforms bill will not be implemented in Maha

Farmer unions and political parties across the country are participating in 'Bharat Bandh' on Friday to protest against the farm Bills that were recently passed by the parliament.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Friday said that farmers' bill and labour reforms bill not be implemented in the state.
Pawar while talking to reporters said, "We are currently studying the legalities, but these bills were passed in a hurry."

He said that the Centre's agriculture bill is not in the interest of farmers. This will jeopardize the existence of market committees in the state which have been set up by the farmers.

In Maharashtra, farmers' bodies took to the streets to protest against the bills. They raised slogans, carried banners and posters terming the bill as 'the anti-farmers' law.

The agitation has been supported by Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana, Congress, NCP, and All India Kisan Sabha.
