Former BJP MP and state vice-president Sanjay Kakade had said that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is feelng suffocated in the Maha Vikas Aghadi and he will definitely leave the alliance sooner or later.

State Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has strongly criticized Kakade. "I am in Pune now.Sanjay Kakade is also from Pune. Ask the people of Pune how much credibility that person holds", said Ajit Pawar.

DY CM Ajit Pawar held a meeting with Pune district officials over the COVID surge today. He then interacted with the media. He gave detailed information about preventive measures and vaccination being taken in Pune.Ajit Pawar was informed about the statement made by Sanjay Kakade about Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. At that time, Ajit Pawar said that there was no need to give much importance to Sanjay Kakade's statement and asked only Punekars know about the credibility of Sanjay Kakade.

Meanwhile. the BJP appointed Sanjay Kakade as the vice-president of the party’s Pune unit on Thursday, two weeks after the former Rajya Sabha MP and real estate developer was arrested by city police in a case involving a gangster’s car rally.

The Bombay High Court made an observation that if COVID cases in Pune are rising, then the govt should think of imposing a lockdown in Pune.
