Anvay Naik suicide case: Rashmi Uddhav Thackeray bought several pieces of land from Late Anvay Naik, claims Kirit Somaiya

Senior BJP leader Kirit Somaiya on Wednesday revealed the reason why Maharashtra government is targeting Republic TV chief Arnab Goswami. Somaiya has alleged that Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray's wife Rashmi Thackeray & Manisha Ravindra Vaykar jointly bought several pieces of land at Korlai, Murud Raigad from Late Anvay Naik, Smt Akshta Naik in March 2014 at ₹2.20 Crores. He has alleged that this might be the reason to target Arnab Goswami. 

In a series of tweets he wrote,"I verified concern documents & sent to Collector & SP. 7/12 land records (Murud Raigad) Maharashtra Government Website of Land Records, election affidavit, it's confirm CM Uddhav Thackeray (Family Wife) had land transaction with Late Anvay Naik (Family) @BJP4India @Dev_Fadnavis"

"Talk in Alibaug (7/12 records sent to me) Land transaction at Village Korlai, Murud Dist Raigad  between Anvay Madhukar Naik (Smt Akshata Anvay Naik....) & Smt Thackeray....I have talked with Raigad Collector & Raigad Police SP...to verify @BJP4Maharashtra @Dev_Fadnavis," he wrote in another tweet. 

He further wrote,"Smt Rashmi Uddhav Thackeray & Manisha Ravindra Vaykar jointly bought several pieces of land at Korlai, Murud Raigad from Late Anvay Naik, Smt Akshta Naik..in March 2014 at ₹2.20 Crores. The reason to target #ArnabGoswamy ?? @BJP4India @Dev_Fadnavis @BJP4Maharashtra"

He added,"I will brief media today 2.45pm at BJP Nariman Point Office on "Rashmi Uddhav Thackeray & Anvay Naik Family" land transactions @BJP4Maharashtra @Dev_Fadnavis"

On November 4, Goswami was arrested in connection with the 2018 suicide case. Later, he was sent to 14-day judicial custody by a lower court later that day.
