Bombay HC to BMC in Kangana office demolition case: Can't leave Ranaut’s office in a partly demolished state during monsoons

The Bombay High Court on Thursday in the Kangana Ranaut office demolition row said that it cannot leave the demolished property as it is, you need time here otherwise you are very fast."

On September 9, Kangana's office in Pali Hill, Bandra was partially demolished by the BMC. Post which Ranaut, through her lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui, had moved the High Court against the demolition of what the BMC termed as "illegal alterations" at her office.    

The court said that it “cannot leave Kangana Ranaut’s Bandra office to remain in a partly demolished state during monsoons” and it will begin hearing the actor’s petition against BMC from tomorrow. 

Sanjay Raut's counsel Pradeep Thorat sought time to file a response as he had received the petition this morning. Thorat submitted that Raut was was unable to give instructions as he is Delhi for Parliament session.

Senior Counsel Anil Sakhare for BMC also sought time for Bhagyavant Late, the designated officer from H-West ward, to file response to the plea.

After hearing the requests, Justice Kathawalla said, “You need more time. Otherwise you are very fast.”

Kangana Ranaut reacted Bombay high court's hearing and said, "Honourable Justice HC, this brought tears to my eyes, in the lashing rains of Mumbai my house is indeed  falling apart, you thought about my broken house with so much compassion and concern means a lot to me,my heart is healed thank you for giving me back all that I had lost"
