Bombay HC to pronounce order on April 5 on Param Bir Singh's plea

The Bombay High Court will pronounce its verdict on April 5 on the plea of ​​former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh for a CBI inquiry. Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh is seeking CBI inquiry against Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh and challenging his transfer.

Singh last week filed a petition in Bombay High Court challenging his transfer and seeking CBI investigation in the alleged corrupt malpractices of Deshmukh. Singh moved to Bombay High Court after the Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to entertain his plea regarding the same.

In his petition, Singh had raised the issue of corruption in the transfer-posting. Parambir Singh had written a letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on March 20  about the several misdeeds and malpractices carried out by the Home Minister.He accused Deshmukh of adopting corrupt practices in posting or transfers in police in addition with extortion of Rs 100 crore per month from various establishments.

In his petition, Singh has accused Deshmukh of adopting corrupt practices in posting or transfer of police officers and seeking to implicate BJP leaders in MP Mohan Delkar's suicide. He urged the Supreme Court to direct a fair CBI investigation into the acts of Deshmukh in abuse of his official position. He further accused Deshmukh of adopting corrupt practices in posting or transfers in police.
