COVID-19: Jitendra Awhad requests Uddhav Thackeray to vaccinate journalists of state

With 57,074 new coronavirus infections, Maharashtra on Sunday evening has reported the highest single-day spike so far since the pandemic started. Several restrictions have been imposed, including curfews to control the growing prevalence of corona.

Similarly, State Housing Minister Jitendra Awhad has made a demand to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray regarding journalists.

Corona cases is on the rise in the state, with more and more emphasis being placed on vaccination.

Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat has declared all journalists in Uttarakhand as corona warriors and has announced to give corona vaccine to journalists without any age limit.

After this, now NCP MLA Jitendra Awhad has requested Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to give corona vaccine to journalists. A tweet in this regard has been made by Awhad.

He wrote," Today, one of our journalist friends passed away due to corona. I request the Chief Minister that there are as many journalists in the state who are facing the crisis and informing us, keeping the society awake. They need to be vaccinated. We request you to accept their request immediately. Journalists should be vaccinated. This demand has been positively supported by the Chief Minister and he has now told me on mobile that he will make an announcement soon. I am confident that the Chief Minister will do this.."
