COVID-19 Lockdown: BJP MP Udayanraje Bhosale holds sit-in to protest against lockdown

BJP's Rajya Sabha MP Chhatrapati Udayan Raje Bhosale on Saturday sat on a protest against the lockdown imposed by the Maharashtra government. Bhosale held his protest at Powai Naka in Satara, where he was seen a bowl and chanted slogans like 'start begging on streets'.

During his agitation Bhosale slammed the Thackeray government on various issues.

Udayan Raje said that the experts who are sitting in the state government are not experts. "If I was a merchant I would have kept the shop open. Lockdown has impacted many lives and many have lost their jobs. Therefore lockdown should not be an option to prevent spread of the covid," he said.

People are in no mood to listen. With the festive season approaching, traders have taken loans and brought goods. Traders have to pay installments to banks. Bhosale also warned the Thackeray government of 'no-lockdown protest' from tomorrow in the state.

He also went to District Collector's Office demanded that the state government should reconsider the lockdown. While demanding reconsideration he said,"I am not speaking on behalf of shopkeepers or traders, but on behalf of the common man."
