COVID-19: Navi Mumbai's APMC market to remain shut from May 11 to 17

The number of coronavirus cases are rising rapidly in the Mumbai Agriculture Produces Market Committee ( APMC) situated in Navi Mumbai's Vashi area.

So the civic authorities have made a decision to shut the market from May 11 to 17 due to increasing cases. The labourers and traders fear that they might contract the disease.

APMC administration and NMMC will carry out disinfection of the market premises and conduct tests.

The decision to shut all five markets has been taken after a meeting with Maharashtra principal secretary (marketing) Anoop Kumar, IAS officer Sanjeev Jaiswal and other top bureaucrats.
