COVID-19: Night curfew imposed in Maharashtra's Wardha from tonight

In wake of a continuous surge in COVID-19 cases, Maharashtra government has announced a night curfew in Wardha from Saturday 8 pm to 8 am till March 1.

The essential services are exempted from the curfew. However, shops and stores of essential goods will remain open during this period. Shops of medical goods, ration, fruits, vegetables, milk etc. will remain open. But petrol pump will remain closed in the city.

Wardha has witnessed a rise in COVID-19 cases. Due to which District Collector Prerana H of Wardha has ordered the closure of all schools and colleges till further orders.

As many as 1,126 COVID-19 cases were detected in the district in the last 10 days. Last week also a curfew was imposed in Wardha from 8 am on Saturday night to 8 am till Monday morning.
